Well, this is not supposed to be a single topic per se; it's somewhat like a compilation of ideas I have for customization.
Headgear Quests UpdateFirst off is an upgrade to the Headgear Quests. I've noticed that the quests have less story behind it and would be more of a "submit items, get reward, kthxbye". However, it makes the experience more straightforward, and at times, boring.

This upgrade will remove the zeny requirements for all item custom quests and will replace some or all of the requirements with more appropriate items. If needed, items with more useful effects would have more difficult quests to back it up.
UPDATE! There would be a Headgear Class System to be introduced. This is not really important, as it just groups items with similar functions together.
Class S - Has powerful effect/s and is usually a part of a player's combat gear. This includes Hunter Cap. Quests of headgear of this class will tend to be tedious and or needs the player to be of high level, etc.
Class A - The effects of headgear under this class is minor compared to Class S Headgear, and is relatively easier to make.
Class B - A "special" class of headgear, this class encompasses all headgear with no effects (and no slots) and thus, is of cosmetic value most of the time. Quests in this class, however, would be part of higher-class headgear.
Class C - Colorizing quests. Like Class B items, they can be a requirement for higher-class headgear quests.
Gray Deviruchi Hat [Class C]NPC: Romero - somewhere in Geffen

At first, he is astounded by the information hidden in the lost city's archives, but notices that he lacks some books that he needs to complete his quest. Should you help him, you are to travel around Rune-Midgard to search for those books and hunt for the proper catalysts needed to create... a carnivorous book. Prepare your head for this.
The rest to follow.
